Amethyst Deciever, Laccaria amethystina
Laccaria amethystina are often seen around Sydney. They often grow in fairy rings, that is in clumps which together form the circumference of a large circle, sometimes up to 15metres in diameter. They make excellent eating. They are easily recognised by their light purple cap, gills and stipe, the lack of any ring of veil remnants, and light coloured spores.
