Unknown bolete, Armond's Beach south of Bermagui, 25 November 2007 in shale, solitary, in deep leaf litter, in spotted gum mature forest with cycad understorey. Cap 80mm across, flesh form thick. Cap convex, pale mushroom in colour, dry, with regular crisped margin. Pores dark grey brown, easily separate fom cap. Stipe stout, reticulated, pale with reddish brown striations, firm, irregular and smooth, 70mm high, 15 across, dry. Flesh blushes pink red when cut. Cap felsh white, greying slightly, slightly bluish, then pink red when cut. Spore print same colour as pores. Pores rapidly disintergrate into slushy mess.
