When Music, heavenly maid, was young,
While yet in early Greece she sung,
The Passions oft, to hear her shell,
Throng'd around her magic cell,
Exulting, trembling, raging, fainting,
Possest beyond the Muse's painting.

Unknown coral fungus

Unknown coral fungus

These small coral shaped fungi often on a single stout black stem were up to 10mm in diameter, in whites and pinks. They dropped copious spores when handled, and were ubiquitous on moist dead wood, 800 metres walk, Upper Allyn October 2010. Despite the large numbers seen on this walk, they have not been seen previously in this local. Picture ref: 1920 Gallery ref: 38
