Rhizopogon sp

Rhizopogon is a truffle like fungi that grows above ground. It can be very common, and litter thr ground like barries. It has a sweet pleasant smell, very tough rubbery flesh, about is usually about 50mm across. When cut open it is readily distinguished from species like Zelleromyces because the spore mass is quite sponge like, almost like an immature puff ball.
