Boletellus obsurecoccineus
Boletellus obsurecoccineus is easily recognised by its bright red smooth cap and yellowish pores that do not stain (but some have said slight blue staining does occur). Found in southern and northen parts of eastern NSW. Stem is always tall and slender (unlike most boletes).
